marriage @ St Cuthbert's Carlisle 1831
« on: Monday 27 April 09 02:55 BST (UK) »
A Marriage between George Thorp/e and Jane Robinson Dec1831. Is there anything in the entry to give clues as to jane Robinson's age or place of birth or family?
Am at a loose end as she also died sometime before 1841 and after 1832.
Thanks for any suggestions as how to progress.

Hi

The register is on film in the Carlisle Local DStudies Library in the Lanes and also in the Record Office at the castle.

That's a very quick look up.

I'm not sure when I'll be going aagain or I'd say I'd do it.

If you don't get a volunteer quite soon, thopugh, you could try emailing the library.  They might do it if it's so quick.

Best wishes

Hi Emms,
Will have to try to organise a trip to Carlisle. Didn't know about the Local Studies Library in The Lanes - so that's another tip you've given me.
Thanks for your help, Cathy

Hi Cathy

I've not been to the lanes yet - just had an ear infection.  I've not forgotten though.

Best wishes

Hi Emms, hope you're feeling better, I know how painful it can be.
I wont get to Carlisle before the end of next month at the earliest as I have an exam to revise for.

Hi Cathy

I don't envy you the revision!  I hope it goes okay.

I should be in well before you, and exam revision definitely needs light relief, so I'll hopefully send you what I find from the look-up.

Best wishes with the exam.
