Hi, If JamesPlace was alive in 1901 he'd be in the census...

can you give us some more info please?  things such as birth date, marriage date and to whom if you know it etc?
This will enable someone with access to the databases to look him up.

Hi

Looking at the 1901 census sheets, it go's like this

Westfield Terrace
Sand Lane
James Place
then back to Sand Lane
West Lane
Flimby House
Then The Sun Inn
Then Waterloo Terrace

Hi

Looking at a modern map, there still is a Sand Lane and a West Lane, also I noticed there is a Westfield View in the same area, which was also on the 1901 census route

Go to http://www.old-maps.co.uk/IndexMapPage2.aspx

Search Flimby

Just to the NW you will see Low Flimby

Zoom in a bit on Low Flimby and you'll see James Place.
