Owen Parry - Quarry man son Edward
« on: Friday 24 April 09 20:50 BST (UK) »
Edward Parry married Mary Humphreys in Birmingham

But we belived he was  from Bangor from the  census info.

On the certificate his father was Owen  a Quarryman,

Edward was a commercial traveller who was possibly in Yeovil in 1871 before he married.
So was not with the family.

Can anyone  give me any info on Edwards  family in Bangor possibly  Llanllechid

Have you checked back for him on the 1861?

There is a poss in Bangor - RG9/4351 F 80 P 24 but father Owen is down as a House Painter which doesn't really fit

yes I believe that this is them the second one.

I looked up Quarry's and there is one just outside LLanllechid, and it looks  like the one  that supplied  Penrhyn Castle when they were  making that.

I went there last Summer but never  knew  about this then, wish I had  would have taken  more notice .
But the photos were amazing of the quarry workers in  the quarry in their suits, hanging of ropes.

Not sure that I can get back any further for you. It might be worth contacting Gwynedd FHS to see if they have appropriate records:
