Hi  I am looking for martin Lammond from third st Leadgate Co Durham he had 15children of which my father Thomas was one he was born in 1915 would be gratefull for any info

I think it would be better if you started a new post on the Durham look-ups board for your request, saying exactly what you'd like to find out  -  otherwise it will be a bit confusing as it's a totally different family.  Hopefully someone will be able to help you

Hi and welcome to rootschat.  I have split the post off from the other one so you should get replies here.
If you look for the birth of Thomas on FreeBMD is shows that his mother's maiden name is Smith.    Not an easy one but Lammond is unusual so you should be able to find a marriage for Martin.   Any idea when the eldest child was born?

If you get Thomas' birth certificate that would show his father's name and occupation and his mother's full name.

It can be ordered online from the General Register Office www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

Sunderland register office website http://www.sunderland.gov.uk/pages/registrars/  has a marriage for Martin LAMONT to Annie SMITH in 1903 which is a possible and can be ordered from them if you click on the reference for a downloadable form, or from the GRO on the above link giving the reference 1915 June Quarter Lanchester volume 10a page 669
 
A quick search of the free 1911 census index though, and the 1901 census, doesn't show Martin under either surname variation

I think you will need Thomas' birth cert first though, to confirm parents' names, before being able to get any further back

There seem to be more children born after Thomas so Martin should be around then.    Any idea when he died as his death entry may give an age which would help.
Lots of Lammond entries in West Derby, Lancashire and also in Scotland.
