Amos Beadle appears on the 1861 census in Keston Kent with parents George & Elizabeth (RG9/462 Folio 103 Page 8 ) , and his baptism appears on the IGI index (www.familysearch.org) on 6 July 1851.  However, I can't find a birth certificate entry for an Amos Beadle.  However, there is a "male Beadle" registered in Bromley, Kent in Q2 of 1851 - Volume 5, page 57.  It might be worth checking that one out.
RIP 1949-10th January 2013

Best Wishes,  Nick.

the program called REUNION is I understand the best of the Mac programs but it's not cheap :( :(

Hi,

Happy to confirm that the Reunion programme is ace for Mac. I used geditcom for several years but was bought Reunion as a Birthday present and find it excellent. If you habve an iPhone you can use an App of Reunion on it too ;-)

Hello Caroline
I am just returning to the pursuit of my ancestors after a summer break and just saw your research of the Beadle family, Amos Beadle was my mother's grandfather, I have some further info, though not much, if you are interested, let me know.

My mothers maiden name was Nancy Caroline Wilson, born 27/09/1927 in India, her mothers maiden name was name was Lucy Beadle. Lucy married John Arthur Martin in 1913. I think he either died or they were divorced, at this stage I would guess died in the 1st war, she was married again, although I'm not sure when, to Chistleworth Aubrey Wilson (what a magnificent name). They had two children, my mother and her brother Reginald. Lucy's parents were Amos & Nancy (née Russell) Beadle. I have notes of other family members which I have to dig out so will let you know when I've done so. Also I have a couple of photos of Lucy and her mother Nancy if you are interested.
