Hi Bluebadger and Carolineb,
I realise that this is an old thread, but wondered if you had traced George Beadle and Elizabeth Richardson's lineage back any further.
I strongly suspect that George Beadle is the brother of my 4xg grandfather Thomas Beadle.
Both George and Thomas were born in Cudham according to censuses. Thomas married a 16 year old at St John the Baptist Croydon in Nov 1826, and George Beadle was a witness. George married a 17 year old Elizabeth Robinson in Dec 1826 at the same church - I haven't checked for their witnesses.
Finding baptisms for Thomas and George is proving tricky - because the records for Cudham for that period are in a shocking state. The curate kept the records in higgldy piggaldy state.
Have you had any luck with George's baptism?
