I think it will be September.
They started a Monty Python day a few years back and it was so popular that Historic Scotland made it a ticket only event, which didn't go down to well with some of the locals who were extras in the movie etc.

As a lot of people on this forum live abroad, i thought i could be of some assistance in tracking down headstones in Kilmadock Parish (Doune,Deanston area) and get some pictures to send .
There are 3 main graveyards in the Parish, Old Kilmadock,New Kilmadock and 1 at the rear of the Old church of Scotland in Doune itself.
If this can be of help to anyone contact me on this post or by personnel
message.

Hello, I'm in New Zealand and trying to track down the  Perthshire parish cemetery where my ancestors Peter Hutton and his wife Janet Hutton (nee Stewart) are buried.  I saw this hugely kind offer of Monks09 to check names in the Kilmadock parish for those of us overseas and would like to ask if anyone knows of the Auchterarder parish.  My gg grandfather Peter Hutton was born 30 March 1804 in Aucterarder, christened on 8 April 1804 and died 16 Dec 1878 in Auchterarder.

As well as trying to find where they are buried, I'm trying to find the parish records for Peter and Janet Hutton's whole family, most particularly the exact birth dates of his children.  Their children Peter, James and Mary (my g grandmother) came out to NZ in the 1860's I think.  We are trying to track down Jame's exact birthdate as he's buried here without a headstone (he never married) and I think he was born in 1842 but would like to confirm this to make sure the headstone my mother wants to put up for him is correct.

I would be most grateful if anyone could help me in anyway. Many thanks Rachel

Many thanks Bleckie for this - unfortunately these Hutton's aren't my ancestors.  My Peter Hutton was a letter carrier or postman and railway messenger.  His and Janet's children's names were -
Peter: born: abt 1836 - Auchterarder
Elizabeth: b: abt 1838/9 - Auchterarder
William: b:1840/1 - Forgandenny, Perth
James: b:abt 1842- Auchterarder
Mary : b: 1845-Auchterarder
Margaret:b: 1849/50-Auchterarder
I got all this info off a family tree that's beens done on "The Doigs of Leven, Fife,Scotland.  I've been trying to contact the person who did that family tree - but haven't had any luck yet.

What I was wondering here was if anyone knew anything about the Auchterarder parish and burial ground.  I would love to find out exactly where Peter senior (born 1804 and died 1878 in Auchterarder) and Janet Hutton are buried.  And also see if it's possible to confirm their son James Hutton's exact birthdate through parish records.

But many thanks bleckie for trying to help - very much appreciated!
