Hi,
I've just come across your offer for Kilmadock/Kincardine by Doune look ups.  I'm particularly interested in the McQueen family, in particular John McQueen who married Lilias Harvey on 16 July 1796.  Their children were Alexander 1801, James 1799 and Lilias 1797.  I would like to find out when John was born as I have two contenders at the moment and don't know which one to follow back.  Obviously no rush for this but I would be grateful for any help.

As a lot of people on this forum live abroad, i thought i could be of some assistance in tracking down headstones in Kilmadock Parish (Doune,Deanston area) and get some pictures to send .
There are 3 main graveyards in the Parish, Old Kilmadock,New Kilmadock and 1 at the rear of the Old church of Scotland in Doune itself.
If this can be of help to anyone contact me on this post or by personnel
message.

Dear monks09

Thank you for your kind offer of help.  Do you know if there is a David McNiven buried in one of the kirkyards at Kilmadock?  David is thought to have been born about 1775 and to have been a farmer at Rowe Farm, Kilmadock.  He probably died sometime between 1828 when his last daughter was born and 1841 when he is missing from the census.  His wife Isabella Cameron died in 1857, so they may be buried together.

What's the difference between Kilmadock and Doune?

I would be grateful for any help that you can offer.

I am new at this so if I 'm repeating please understand. My relative are buried in the old cemetery in kilmadock, I think it is called the old Doune cemetery. My grandmother Jane MacDonald and my aunt Catherine are there, they may be together as Catherine died as a child 5-8yrs. old My gran died Jan.19,1951. I also have relatives in the newer Doune cemetery with family names Mitchell and McAlpine. The Mitchells are Jock, Polly,Hugh, and more. I wonder if there is a parish record site I could search on line as I live in Ontario Canada.       thanks

Shebeat...An email to the Stirling cemeteries department might be of assistance to you.
I have, in the past, found them to be very helpful.

Cheers.

Hi all.
Sorry for not getting back sooner but with the weather we have been having lately I have been busy at work ( I drive a Snowplough).
I will try and get something done once the better weather comes.
Donfox21  Doune is in the Parish of Kilmadock.
