yes Ellen
You need a lot of time as they are difficult to read in some places, i to are retired so I trawled them for the Heselton's , Buck's and others
when I lived in Osmotherley there were quite a few Weighell's in area (over the moor) that is the North Yorkshire Moors which encompassed a large area, from Bilsdale to Northallerton, from Stokesly to Helmsley

Good luck with your research

Hello everyone,

So sorry to post and then just not reply! I do not usually do that. Our laptop broke and I had no chance to get online. I am thankfully (as I think I was about to go a bit mad) back online and researching my tree again.

I would be really grateful for any copies you have thanks. I have loads of Weighills/Weighells and am trying to jumble my way through them at the moment. All of mine are in the 1700's so far beginning with William Weighell in around 1706. I dont know who he married but so far I have various children for him. Its all very confusing if you ask me!
Thanks
Deb

Hello all,

This thread caught my eye.  I have an Annie Prest SMITH born 17 Jun 1877  Newtown, NSW, Aust. to parents Joseph and Martha Jane HODGSON.

Martha's parents were Edmund & Ann. I believe Joseph's parents may have been William and Ann PREST.

One researcher says Joseph was born in 1853 in Bradford but that might not be correct given the location of the marriage in Malton in 1847.

Regards,

Fred

Hello Mark
My name is Wayne Weighill
My 4times great grandfather was mark Weighill married to Jane Jackson. He lived near Whitby and had children John mark William Sarah and Mary. Son mark is 3 times great grandfather and his son John is 2 times. Mark is a name that seems to follow down from mark and Jane. I am trying to find where some cousins went to ie. William Swales Weighill and Frederick mark Weighill
