Death search - Maxwell Hill

Iam struglling to find the death of Maxwell Hill, born in Jarrow Apr to June 1856 a Naval Architect and last seen in Kenilworth Road (census 1911)

I would be grateful for any advice on finding him, such as obituaries or cemeteries etc ???

really need something online living in North Wales, but i see a short break on the horizon.

HILL: Goven, Scotland; Jarrow; Coulsdon, Surrey
CHARLTON: Jarrow
MIDDLETON: Sheffield; Flintshire
MOLYNEUX: Saughall, Cheshire; Flintshire
SALISBURY: Summer Hill, Wrexham

Can see one death reg. for a Maxwell Hill :

Q1. 1929  South Shields  Vol. 10a Pg. 1272

However, it says he was 88   ???
Census information is Crown Copyright from TNA.
Titchfield, Hampshire: Reed,  Fielder, Cawte, Goddard.
Kent:  Float,  Cutbush. 
Wallasey, Cheshire: Carroll, Ledsham.
Liverpool : Horsfall, Prescott

This one is exactly the right age - but not where you expected.

4th quarter 1937, Maxwell Hill, 81, Surrey Mid. E. 2a 260.

Followed up on JenB findings for maxwell in Surrey.
Received the death certificate for today and it is definately the one i am looking for.
dont know why he is in Surrey

Hullo, this is my first post on this message board.

Maxwell Hill was my great grandfather and I would like to find out anything I can about him and his family, particularly his youngest daughter, Gwendoline Maude Hill, my grandmother.

It is interesting that Maxwell died in Surrey, the last whereabouts I have for Gwendoline is in Coulsdon in Surrey in January 1937 where she is living with her sister Margaret.

Your Gwendolines birth is registered in Tynemouth district ,1900and the 1901 cesus gives her birth place as Whitley ,
Gunning County Down,Kneale Isle of Man,Riddle Tynemouth,Bibby Kendal/Bradford,Colenso Penzance/Barrow-in-Furness,Steele Corney Fell,Chapman Ely,Dawes Alfreton,Blamire Westmoreland and Ulverston

That is correct. Of her eight brothers and sisters four were born in Whitley Bay and four in Jarrow.
