It's all very interesting that's for sure,
I had another look at the shipping document and it does say Mrs Elizabeth,
Still it would be interesting to find out why they put Elizabeth there,
Also how can I check the online electrol rolls?? is there a web site??

Thanks heaps
Roz :-)

Hi Roz

I actually meant the fiche of the original shipping records.  Do you have a copy of the original?

I will pm you info about electoral records.

This would appear to be Samuel's death: (NSW BMDs)
1933  Samuel IRONSIDE, parents William and Ann  Reg TUMUT    No 21808  (Tumut is near Batlow)

And perhaps Amy:
1954  Amy IRONSIDE, parents Samuel, Emma  Reg CAMPSIE    27461 (Campsie a suburb of Sydney)

George appears to have had two marriages:
1954  George Solomon IRONSIDE = Rena Cameron HERON  Reg HURSTVILLE  22709  (Hurstville also in Sydney)
1934  George S IRONSIDE = Edna HARTNETT  reg ADELONG  12374

Electoral rolls show George and Edna still in Batlow in 1943,
1949 he is at 18 Cambridge Ave, Bankstown (truck driver)

1943 and 1949 Rena Cameron HERON is in Batlow at the same adress as Samuel Henry HERON, but is also listed in 1949 at 41 Carrington Ave, Hurstville.  (a double listing is fairly common when people moved and names not removed from a previous address)

Edna's death is listed on the Ryerson Index
