hi just a note .. two things . we are grateful and certainly don't think you are nosy . and 2nd , looking at my notes and Shirley's you can tell we are sisters can't you and interestingly enough the notes demonstrate how we get our oral family history wrong . i have you searching for a letter written sometime after 1960 and Shirley having spoken to mum has it as a conversation in 1951-2 .
not quite as bad as Shirley and I telling someone that their step great grandfather was hung for murder .. oh dear that was BAD. :-[ :-[
thanks
Jan

So, we can say for certain that Unity was alive and living in Nottingham(?) in 1952ish.  Was she with Kenneth then?  Because if so, it is unlikely that she remarried after David - thus limiting the surname choice to 3!

Hi All,

Do we know if Unity Evans/Connelly could have other first names, or a nick name, perhaps we may find her if we treat "Unity" as her middle name?  Just a thought.   Cheers,  MA

good morning all

Welcome, Shirley. :) Thank you for your post, hopefully we can find Unity's death for you, Jan and your Mum. At least now we know she was alive in 1952 and was already with Kenneth.

*rolls sleeves up*

Right then, where do we start on the death index?

From Deb yesterday:
searches for Unity Evans' death: 1960-1975 ..nothing
searches for Unity Conn*y 1965-1975 ...nothing

Deb, did you say you had checked Unity Williams?
