mary ann ellis 1871 census
« on: Sunday 20 February 05 00:01 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for a mary ann ellis born 1868 liverpool. Her father was Frederick Ellis and was down as a carter in 1888 when mary ann married.I have found a death for a Frederick ellis aged 38 in liverpool in 1877 and was wondering if this was him.If so he would be about 32 33 ish in 1871.I know little of both these people because theres no info in 1881 that i can be sure its mary.If i could find out if who he was married too then i have a chance of finding her in 1881 with her mother or other siblings. She was married by 1891 and was living with her husbands family.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The only Frederick I can find living Liverpool in 1871 is aged 25 (born c 1846) and is a boarder, Married and is a train driver. No family living with him.
Other possibilities are aged 33 living Southport (joiner)with family but no Mary Ann

All the Mary Ann (Mary, Mary A or Mary Anne) born liverpool between 2-5 are living in households with parents resident and none are Frederick, sorry.

The only other possibility is the following
Elizabeth Ellis 32  Liverpool Head
Mary J Ellis 2  Liverpool Daughter
No male relative in household

Hi,

I've been researching this family, Mary Ann Ellis is my GGrandmother, and have lots of information on Mary Ann and Frederick if you want to get in contact.

Tracy...can I ask did Mary Ann Ellis marry
John English at St Michaels church (our family church ) in 1888
or
Thomas Best at St Peter in 1888  ..if it`s Thomas I don`t think there is a connection...

If it`s John English at St Michaels there is a very strong possibility we have a connection...still Ellis and English families here in Garston,Liverpool
