Have you tried the other variants Tracy and Treacy?

Tracy seems to be more common in Wicklow (29) than either Tracey (5) or Treacy (1) on the Irish Times site.

Dara.

Hi Dara,
Yes, I have looked at Wicklow and suspect that there will be a link. The area my family is from is pretty close to the Wicklow border and some of my family are buried at Enniskerry [even though I know they did not live there].
As far as the variations on the name goes, I can see that in some cases the names seem to be interchangeable. I have records of my family which seem to have been spelt "Tracy" rather than "Tracey". Maybe poor record keeping?
Cheers,
Glenn.

I now have some additional details thanks to LH....

Baptisms:
5 Sept 1822 Thomas son of William & Elizabeth Tracey of Ballycorus.
17 Oct 1824 Edward  son of William  & Elizabeth Tracey of Kingston Lodge (probably Sandyford/Ticknock Cross)
14 Dec 1828 Diana daughter of William & Elizabeth Tracey of Kilternan
7 Aug 1831 Edward son of William & Elizabeth Tracey of Ballybetagh (Their earlier Edward had probably died)
11 Dec 1833 James son of William & Elizabeth Tracey.

These would all seem to be Edward[us] siblings.
Unfortunately, I have no additional info.
Does anyone have any record of these guys?
Thanks,
Glenn.
