yes jennie was born and registered in the name of jane . jane was born 24th april 1904. she also had a brother named jack maybe (john ) born 24th april 1902. also sisters may , frances .but on her marriage cert her name is jennie !!! nobody knows why ? i have looked on familysearch.org but cant seem to find anything .she was born in byker .james and jennie (jane) were married in dec 1924.

Well here's her possible birth registration so that you can get her certificate
SMITH  Jane   June Qu 1904     Newcastle T.    10b   184

That should show her mother's maiden name, and as I said, you can check for her father's name before buying the cert.
