Does anyone know of a resource to find a survivors list or a passenger list from the 'Harpooner' transport ship which was shipwrecked in November 1816 off Newfoundland en route from Quebec to Deptford?
According to the google books excerpt from 'Exploring the Avalon "approximately half of the Harpooner's company of 411 veterans of the recently concluded war with the United States and their wives and children drowned or died of exposure in the cold water of St Shotts".
Many thanks, Josey
