James Warnock, 1750's to America

My ancestor, James Warnock, came from Ireland to Delaware in American in approximately 1758.  I am trying to connect him back to his Irish family - he was a descendant of the 3 Warnock brothers (John, James & William) who came to Ireland as part of the Ulster Plantation in 1606.

Any info shared will be greatly appreciated!

It is from what I can gather a list of certain things in the Will of a Robert Warnock.

WARNOCK, David. Private, Capt. Alexander Thompson's Company, Upper District of Pencader Hundred, 1778-1779 (Ref: B-815, B-816.)   Robert Warnock died testate in New Castle County in 1783 and mentioned his sons David, James, and William Warnock (Ref: I-101).

WARNOCK, James. Private, Capt. Alexander Thompson's Company, Upper District of Pencader Hundred, 1778-1780 (Ref: B-814, B-816, B-819).   See "David Warnock," q.v.

WARNOCK, William. Private, Capt. Thomas Watson's Militia Company, entered into the Continental Army on December 27, 1776 (Ref: B-813, B-815, B-818, C-1052).   
He subscribed to the Oath of Allegiance and Fidelity in 1778 (Ref: ) O-1778 (DSA).  See "David Warnock," q.v.

If it is possible to find a record of this oath, it may give more information on his background.

Not able to find much else on this family, but hope this helps.

The surname of Warnock was included in the Moore notes about the people that sailed from County Down, Ireland to Nova Scotia, Canada in 1818. Jennie Warnock was one of the names. The brig Jessie left from Belfast on May 1, 1818 with many families. The Moore family must have been very close to the Warnock family as this name stood the test of time in the memory of my ancestors. As evident in one of the other replies to this note there is definitely a Moore/Warnock connection. Can anyone solve this puzzle?

My Warnock ancestors arrived in Newcastle, Delaware in about 1758; however, I believe you will find a whole lot of info on the County Down Warnocks, who are descended from John Warnock who came to the Ards Peninsula as part of the Ulster Plantation movement in 1610-1620, with his brothers who settled elsewhere in Northern Ireland.  For more info, you can go to:

Re the Moore/Warnock connection, you may want to know that Warnock descendants  inhabit the family home in County Down -- it's called Fortfield and they have a website with photos set up.  Take a look at:
