I dont know Ive replied to the correct thread but you were asking about Milton Cottage - that was my grans house - it is on Queen street - its a small stone cottage. My mother sold it about 2-3 years ago after my gran passed away. I have lots of good memories of time spent there :)

My gran had it for as long as I can remember (Im 44), she never changed it. It had a living room 1 bedroom (open to living room)1 bathroom and a teeny tiny kitchen. It was solid stone
not brick like a but and ben. One little side garden where my gran planted all her roses (teeny garden). After my mum sold it I believe the new owners had it all modernised (Im afraid). My gran never modernised anything in it but she did like a lick of paint and was always painting the stoop and the outside (last time I saw it it was a light blue with black - I live in the US now). I dont have any photos Im afraid we are not family of picture takers sadly. I can ask my mum more details maybe she remembers who it was purchased from.

Sybil, thank you very much, hope the weather keeps up for you, still haven't emailed the addresses you gave me yet, I do apologise but I got sidetracked on a very promising lead on a long standing brick wall,, unfortunately I may be getting sold a red herring so will give it one more day for a reply then change tack again back to this, again sorry.

Alibally, never mind, thanks for replying anyway and good luck with your hunting.

]Hi there
I've just been looking on here for some local info and seen your thread. Did you ever find out about Milton Cottage?
I grew up in Milton Road and lived opposite 'Milton Cottage'. Happy to give you a bit of history if you are still looking.
