I cannot find birth registration
Parents are John and Catherine Hughes(nee McCulloch)
Can anyone help?

Thanks for message, this may well be the one, the year of 65/6 does agree with the date on his death certificate altho the years on his marriage certificate and 1891 census in Glasgow agree with your date

Is your ref the one needed to obtain a copy birth cert

I've had a quick look, and I couldnt see your chap on any census prior to 1901 - Scotland explains it !

With a GRO order you can make the order conditional on a parents name - you get a £4 refund if it doesnt match ....
