I have a photograph (1944) of a James Bolger who married an Ellen Donoghue any connection.
They were both from Wexford
Hi, do you know whereabouts in Wexford? - or when they married?  Any more info would be gratefully received.  I'm off to Wexford on Friday to try to get some more leads.  Many thanks, Julia

Hi Julia ive been checking the records and what these details appear to be is the modern equivalant of company registration returns. I have found so many of them for this same couple with all the same details just different years starting 1869 and ending in 1887.

I dont know how well you know the area but there is a family history centre in "Yola Farmstead, Folk Park, Tagoat, Rosslare, Co. Wexford" but when i was over at the end of november begining of December it was closed.... not sure if this is permanant or seasonal?

Hopefully someone on here might have more upto date information to help you...

Also the National achieves in Dublin has an in house team of geneologists and they are great although you will have to que and it is busy, about a 5 minute walk takes you to the national library and again they are so helpfull and waiting time for the microfishe is less than 10 minutes.

Good Luck

Mick

If you're planning to visit the NAI you might check this link and give them a call to make sure the records will be available:

Thanks for this timely information, Dara.  I'll probably just stick to Wexford on this trip.  Julia
