hi Neil when you get a photo that is as badly creased as this one. It helps if you scan it one way then turn the photo 90degrees and scan the other way.
We can then overlay them and it generally removes most of the nasty light/shadow differences from the creasing which will help reduce repair time and possible further damage.

Of course, I realise this particular photo is probably to big to do that on a A4 home scanner but its worth remembering for the future or for others looking in who want to post similarily creased photos.

Please acknowledge when a restorer works on your photos, it can take hours for them to work their magic

Please scan at 300dpi minimum to help save the restorers eyesight.
