Hi

Unfortunately Liverpool Records Office make quite a steep charge for checking for burial details.  It's something like £10 per cemetary per person.

It is possible to do it yourself at the Records Office but it entails searching the records for each cemetary for the dates in question.

Another consideration is the current state of all of Liverpool cemetaries.  Many of the older headstones have been removed under the Health and Safety Regs.

Hi Redcop, hope you're feeling better  :)  Thanks, I found that yesterday and had a look.  There are a few possiblities, but I sort of got a little lost when looking at the christian name with all the initials, not quite sure what they mean. I did email the person who's doing the site, but haven't heard anything back yet.

I wouldn't have thought Toxteth would be the right area for Westminster Road, possibly Anfield, Rice Lane (Walton) or West Derby I would have thought.

The other thing to think about is their religion.  If they were RC then you might be more lucky since there is a set of microfiche in the Record Office for Ford, Yewtree and Ainsdale, that you can check for them by date, also cross reference to see who else is in the grave.  Unfortunately C of E burials aren't as straightforward.

You may be able to do a  bit of homework before you go and check out a few sites that have transcriptions online, but they are far from complete as they are transcribed by volunteers

Ford Cemetery: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~liverpoolindexes/navigation.html

Many of these might be too early for the times you are looking for, but I'm adding them just in case some have been updated more recently.

Thank you.  They weren't Catholic, so that's out.  I do know that the children were christend in St MAry's Walton on the Hll, but haven't been able to find any graves for them online there.  I guess I'll just have to keep looking and may get lucky before I leave.
