ECCLESALL/ gravestone inscriptions/COOPER
I am looking for the grave of LAURA Cooper wife of John J H Cooper
Died Feb 1909
My parents have a letter from a now dead relative, in which he said he had seen it but only gave limited details ie feb 1909

hello Syd,

Laura is buried in Walkley Cemetery, Sheffield.

This is the information from the burial register:

Grave G307
COOPER Laura
date of burial: 2 Mar 1909
address: 14 Sandygate Rd.
age: 25
minister: Rev. Holyoake/STGS
Register reference: vol 6 page 94

I don't know who the Rev Holyoake was, but the fact that the Vicar, Sydney TG Smith, has initialled the entry suggests that Holyoake was not an Anglican.

There are no other burials listed for this grave. There is a grave book which lists Mr JJH Cooper as the grave owner.

Part of the memorial appears to be missing, including any inscription. It was probably a cross.

Do you know Martin Cooper? I found this grave for him a few years ago, and I know that he has the receipt for the burial fees.

Many thanks for this shame its not complete anymore but info from this can help me in search for ancestors.
I am not aware of a Martin Cooper , will look into family tree and check with my parents for answers.
