Hi Newgent,
I was wondering if you have any high resolution images of Catherine Fox and Archibald Graham. I know a journalist who is working on a TV programme about the Irish Potato Famine orphans and would like to have a look at ANY images you might have that is relevant to Catherine Fox and her family. Thanks for sending me all that information a while back I was reading it again the other day and realised that half the eMail has corrupted could you send it to me again.

Cheers Brent.

Hi to Newgent and others on this post topic
I am a great great grand-daughter of Robert Graham, the oldest son of Archibald Graham by his first wife Mary Campbell. Robert lived at Upper Kangaroo River and his first wife Ann Nixon also died as a young woman. Robert and Ann had two children, Mary (my great grandmother married Edward Parrish) and Archibald. I returned to live in the Illawarra  last year after an absence of over 23 years. I have quite a lot of information provided by various family members over the years. My late father had an uncanny likeness to Archibald in the photograph posted. Hope you are all still interested and online -from Lorraine Neate

To everyone on this topic,

I just signed up as I have been doing some family research and cam across this forum, I've read all of the pages up until the last post.

I am a descendent of Archibald and Catherine through their son Thomas who married a Mary Oliver Cavill.

I'm not used to online forums so I find I don't really know what I'm doing, also not used to sharing information online so it's a little bit daunting.

If someone could explain how to do private messages on here that would be fantastic!
I would like to find out as much as I can about Archie Graham, there's a myth or rumour that this Graham line could be traced back to Scottish royalty.

Kind regards,
C

To everyone again,

I have 3 chat notices but after doing a bit of research the rule is that you have to make at least 3 posts before being allowed to use personal messages which I'm assuming includes using this chatterbox thing. I'm not sure if it's just the site generating welcome messages or whatnot or if it's someone replying to my previous post. If it is, I'm sorry I cant see it.

Regards,

Hi Heritage_Seeker

Welcome to rootschat  :)

To read your private message just click on "My Messages" in the brown banner in the top.

To send a private message click on the circle under their username with a letter/text in it.

But you probably need 1 more post (can just say Hi) before you can use the whole pm system properly.

regards,
   Ros

Thanks Ros,

It's weird, after that post it started to work even though I'd only done two. Oh well 😊

Well-done  :)

I think there are restrictions before 3 posts like you can only receive 2 messages so that if someone else tried to send you a messsage it would refuse saying your message box was full ... (maybe)

But anyway you are up and running now  :)
