Dear Siouxsie,
If the "History Man" can't come up with any answers as to where Archy was laid to rest, I would be quite happy with a snapshot of you pointing to the rose garden. I Can't think of any other person in particular whose final resting place I would like to know about apart from Mary Campbell (his first wife) or Catherine Fox (his second wife).
Yours etc.,

Newgent.

Dear Newgent,
I spoke with History man this afternoon, and he has scoured his resources looking for the exact grave location with no results. He has a couple of other clues he is following up for me next week, so if he doesn't get a result, I take a photo of the Rose Garden for you.

I will follow up the wives for you and see where they are.

Cheers

Dear Newgent,

I have checked to see where Mary would be buried, but the death doesn't list a place of death as it is a very old certificate. The certificate itself may have where she is buried, but you would have to purchase it (or get a transcription) to find out.  Do you know where she died, as we might be able to check the cemeteries in that area.

If Catherine that is listed as dying in 1946 is the right Catherine, she is buried in the Wollongong General Cemetery in the Catholic section. I have the row and grave number, so I will take a photo for you tomorrow on my way to Sydney.

Cheers

Dear Siouxsie,
Sorry to miss your posts; I've been trying to catch up on other matters not on Rootschat.
I really appreciate everything you have done for me and don't want you to go out of your way. I am trying to get a family tree drawn up with the information given to me. I have no pacific date for Mary's death yet.

Dear Newgent,
I have been to the cemetery, but I doubt if this is the right Catherine. She would have been in her 100's when she died, but this grave says she was in her 70's. She may however, be a relative. Now, the real question is, when did she die??????

If you PM your email address, I will send you the photos tomorrow afternoon.

Cheers
Susie
