Topliss/Rudkin

Hi, I am researching the Topliss/Rudkin surnames in the same family - but, being as it is in the 1930 / 1950 time period, there is a possibility that some of them are still living.

My nanna was Jean Lilian Topliss and my grandad was Sidney Rudkin, both born Leicester.

I have a very distant connection with Topliss.  They were in Thurcaston and married into the Wallis family - do you think yours could be connected to this Topliss family.  In particular do you have Sally Toplis?

Not sure if they were connected or not I'm still trying to find my family.  All I know is my great grandfather was George Topliss of Leicester who married Elsie Robinson and his father was William Topliss who was born in Malta ? I am assuming this is because his father (also a George Topliss) was a soldier but I know nothing of him.
