Hi, I have just come across this site and wonder if you ever found the answer to your questions. I believe my great grandfather was the brother of Bridget's Father William and have recently started to look into the family history. Would love to know more!

I hope that the following might be of interest
The Irish Times  (19th June 1896 at Page 7) shows that Patrick Dowling was charged with using No.38 Drury Street for gaming purposes.         (He is entered in Slaters Directory 1894 as a Commission Agent there)
At 83 Seville Place ,The Irish Times (25th January 1875 at Page 3 ) shows Mr C.Dowling as a Prizewinner. An advertisement on Page 7 in the edition for 3rd September 1877 refers to a Joseph W.Dowling there.  In Thoms Directory 1911 there is an entry there for Joseph Dowling.

At 1 Little Britain Street ,The Irish Times (4th January 1860 Police Intelligence Column) Julia Dowling is shown as the victim of a criminal act.      Shaws Pictorial Directory 1850 shows a James Dowling (Dairy) at the same address.

Hi Leadjog. Thanks for your interest. It's a long time since I asked that question and still have not found a connection to my Dowling family. I have almost given up as I'm now very old and none of my children is interested in genealogy yet.
Thanks also to Felixquaxer and Dathai. I will have a look at the links and let you know if I find anything new.

Bridget Dowling's brother, T. Dowling married my great-aunt. In case that helps anyone. He grew up on Denzelle Street (now Fenian Street) and Heytesbury Lane.

I can confirm Bridget's maiden name is Reynolds.
