Hi beans

Would this be Euphemia Hynd born 16th February 1817 in Dalgety?

Do you have anything at all on this family? (just to prevent duplication of effort)

I will have a dig and see if I can't link to the other thread.

She didn't marry a Beveridge did she?

hi kristy

yes she supposedly married a james beveridge which is where the original

confusion came into it.  the one set of james beveridge and euphemia hynd

lived and died in scotland however someone sent me beveridges and had

them listed as immigrating to the usa.  the death cert i was sent is proof that

they had the wrong james and euphemia and since famillies repeated names

it is extremely difficult to trace and here in the us you need to be a relative to

request a complete copy of birth marriage and death records.  i sent a request

over a year ago for james naturalization records and have never gotten a

response  beansgram

Does that mean that the Marriage in Dumfermline 1844 is of the family that stayed in Scotland?

kristy the second thread in your above post has the children from both sets of

james and euphemias mixed together i have since then been able to sort the

children to right set of parents buti am still not sure about the immigrated james

wife being euphemia hynd his american relis are positive but have nothing to

verify it.  to the moderator sorry if i am over lapping threads was not sure since

this is a different james and euphemia  yes the 1844 marriage is the couple who

remained in scotland.   and the ones that immigrated had 2 of their children in

scotland  alexander in 1846 and james in 1849/50 then they are on the census for

1860 in mccandless twnshp not to far from where i am beansgram
