John Wildgust - Bulwell

Hi all! ;D
I am searching for a baptism of a John Wildgust b. abt 1822 Bulwell, I have him on the 1851,61,71 and 1881 censuses, he married Louisa Clifford in 1842 and he died in 1890. While searching on the 1841 Bulwell census I came across a John Wildgust b. abt 1821) son of James (b. abt 1791) and Mary (b, abt 1796). I have found James and Mary's other children's baptisms but cannot find John's!!
 James and Mary did have a son John but he was baptised in 1817, (all censuses states John as being born 1822). the 5yr gap has me wondering if this is my John or not?
 Can anyone help with this puzzle?

Hi Jan,

Just my opinion and others may not agree :) but think the 1817 James WildGOOSE christening is the right one to James and Mary.
Remember ages were often rounded on Census details.

I also think the James Wildgoose, born 1785 , Bulwell, could be his Father. He married Mary GENT, 26 Dec. 1806, Bullwell.

There could also be children born to this couple who had left home by 1841 census.

From 1841 census, Ellen  aged 11 seems to be baptised as Wildgoose + Elijah and Charles. Their ages are a few years out on census also.

Jan, I believe the following to be correct:

John Wildgust born 15 Aug 1818 baptised 27 Jan 1820
Parents: John Wildgust and Ann White
Married (1) Louisa Clifford 30 Jan 1842
Married (2) Mary Ann Pearson nee Brewster
