I was starting to wonder if you were 2 separate people ;D

Welcome to RootsChat, Sophie  :)

Marriage December quarter 1935
Melksham 5a 273
Henry P (or maybe F) Hood - Winifred N Sheppard

The above marriage cert would tell you Henry's age and father's name.

By the way, I had a quick look at BMD and I'm wondering if the sister isn't Virginia instead of Vicky

Added: The 1911 census suggests that Winifred's siblings were Mabel Annie born ca. 1910 and William Edward born ca. 1906.

Was Henry's middle name Percival by any chance?

There's a birth:
Henry Percival Hood
Mar 1910
Chippenham 5a 72

Have a play with the 1911 census index http://www.1911census.co.uk/

and you might find out that this Henry Percival had a sister Vera Winifred born ca. 1908, and that his parents were Harry born around 1870 and Edith Louise, born around 1878.

Which leads me to this marriage, which you can find here: http://www.freebmd.org.uk/

Mar 1908
Swindon 5a 25
Harry Hood to possibly Edith Louise Downey

The birth index shows the mother's maiden name from late 1911 on, and searching FreeBMD for children named Hood with mother's maiden name Downey, we find:

Dec 1912 Sidney G Hood Chippenham 5a 131
Dec 1914 William F Hood Chippenham 5a 120
Jun 1917 Ivy E Hood Chippenham 5a 98

Looks quite conclusive  8)
