Yes it certainly looks like Ellen's birth has not been registered. I have her birth as around 1896 so that would obviously be when they were in the mining towns.

I am currently researching Marlan McEntee (born around 1910) who was the sister of Ellen Veronica McEntee.

I don't know if you got any further info on Ellen Veronica, however the details I have are:

Birth 7 april 1896 in Kadina, South Australia, Australia
Death 17 october 1970 in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
Married a C MacDonald during the period 1917-1927

Bry may I ask the source of the birth information for Ellen Veronica McENTEE?  The birth is not on the birth indexes for the period in South Australia but is on an online tree on a subscription based website.

I notice that Marlan had a child prior to her marriage to Michael McENTEE in 1885.
