Welcome to Rootschat Jason ;D

Everyone is very helpfull here . Firstly when did Elijah and Eliza arrive in Australia? . This will help anyone finding them on Censuses.

Have you purchased Marriage Cert? This will identify parents of them.
Although you have marriage date it was not reg. til March

From www.freebmd.org.uk

Elijah Filcock
March 1840
Stoke on Trent

On same page is Eliza Brundett

Also someone else is researching this family from Australia ;D

I will let you find it for yourself as it is more exciting ;) they have another generation back on both sides and siblings of Elijah;

Google,   filcock genealogy + staffordshire

It is a posting on Rootsweb you are looking for.

Cheers,

Ok,
So we have George Filcock ,, baptised 12 May 1776, Gawsworth, Cheshire, parents Peter and Sarah .

If you click on the batch there appear to be no other children born to them there .

Then checked for marriage for a Peter  1776 +/- 10yrs, and come up with;

Peter FILLcock to Sarah DEACON, 5 Sept. 1769, Astbury, Cheshire ( extracted record) this looks likely ;)

So we have Peter and Sarah, son George  marries Elizabeth Orme, and their son Elijah marries Eliza Burdett and off to the Australia 1856ish

I have found their immigration details on the PROV website:
http://proarchives.imagineering.com.au/index_search.asp?searchid=23

FILLCOCK - on the Royal Charter, April 1856 into Port Phillip:
Elijah, 45 yrs
Eliza, 43 yrs
Joseph, 11 yrs

Hope that helps  :D

On my searches I noticed a lot of Filcocks in Cheshire .... they probably all connect up with your Filcocks Jason.
