siddall/wild 1820s
« on: Thursday 26 March 09 17:45 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find the birth of Elizabeth Siddall b about 1839 ? in Sheffield. In 1851 she is living with John and Sarah Wild nee Siddall. I don't know whether she is Sarah's illegitimate daughter. I cannot find her on the 1841, nor can I find Sarah. There is a birth record for an Elizabeth in Dec Q of 1839.John and Sarah were married in 1842.

Any help would be appreciated. All the records seem to be linked to Cathedral St Peter, Sheffield.  :-\

Hello Hoyle,

I think I have found the family on 1841 census transcribed as LIDDLE.  Father George is a mason so seems like the right family:

Forge Lane, Sheffield.

Class: HO107; Piece 1337; Book: 3; Civil Parish: Sheffield; County: Yorkshire; Enumeration District: 6; Folio: 35; Page: 11; Line: 23

George SIDDELL 40 Mason
Elizabeth 40
Sarah 20 Glass grinder
Harriett 10
Martha 8
Elizabeth 3
William 1

All born in county.
