So, in 1911 we have, in Blackburn district, William B Hurst with wife Elizabeth A age 31 and 4 children, 3 of which seem to be from William's previous marriage to Annie.

Elizabeth A's birth place doesn't seem to be Blackburn  :P

Have you seen the actual 1911 census details? It could be useful to know what birth place Elizabeth gives  :)

Really a shame we don't have access to the birth place - it could possibly have helped us ID her without the marriage cert  :-\

Her birth place seems to be Northwaite, I wonder where she would have been registered?

Looks like there may be a few:

:
Northwaite, Ponsonby, Seascale, Cumbria CA20, UK
Northwaite, Dent, Sedbergh, Cumbria LA10, UK
Northwaite, Main St, Greenodd, Ulverston, Cumbria LA12, UK
Northwaite, Low Mill, Egremont, Cumbria CA22, UK

Though only 2 with a Lancashire postcode...... was Cumbria ever Lancs?
