Hi  scoucerlad  :)

Can you please let us know what you'd like people to do with the photo?  We can either restore, colour, date, or all three but we need to know what you want  :)

Cheers
Prue :)

I started on this and was waiting for Soucerlad to tell us what he wanted. However, I'm sure this has been partly restored because the patches between the body and the arms don't look as if they were cleaned and the right (left on the image) is not looking as it should be - I think some of it has been chopped off  -see attached  :-\

Hi scoucerlad - still not sure what it is that you want doing with the photo...please send me a PM (private message) and I'll do what I can to help  :)

Gadget - that is some strange retouching isn't it...I suspect it's on the original, via the negative (although it's a bit more obvious than some retouching I've seen).  Probably trying to emphasise her waist by reducing the inner edge of the sleeve and bodice (early airbrushing  ;D  )

Hi scoucerlad...not really a lot of dateable details in the lady's dress...not sure about the sleeves but I'd suggest the slight beginning of the puffy shoulder here, so I'm guessing about 1889 or so.

I'd really like to see the back if possible...could you reduce the file until it's below the 500kb limit and post it, please? As it's just a back and not for restoration, it doesn't have to be very large...

Cheers,
