Definately not Jem Mace, he was born 1831 so would have been an old man when this was taken. Shorts wer'nt worn either in his days.

Hi,

Why don't you send a copy to the Fairground Archive, and see if the can identify the chaps?  They do have several old Boxing photos. 

I also understand that there are several fairground related forums on F**e Bo*k - if you are into such things!
