Just checked the marriages at the NSW BDMs and there are two marriage for a Benjamin Urch listed for the same year and woman (different churches)  http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/Index/IndexingOrder.cgi/search?event=marriages

and there are no female Urch marriages until 1875 which would suggest that they are this couples kids.

shows Benjamin Urch b. at sea served in the 102nd and 43rd regiments, served 1802-1833 discharged aged 41.

I think it's quite likely that his father was also military. There's a possible marriage in England - Benjamin Urch and Elizabeth Pike, 12 May 1788 in Bristol.

I am new to RootsChat and apologize if I am posting to a stale topic. I am fairly certain that i am descended from Jane URCH, daughter of Benjamin URCH and Elizabeth PIKE. I have a number of sources related to them and Jane's line of the family if you are interested.  I would also like to help prove my link via DNA and am curious whether you know of any other descendants of Ben and Elizabeth who subscribe to Ancestry DNA or GEDMATCH.
