RNLI Lifeboat crew Fleetwood

At Fleetwood this year we are celebrating our 150th Year.
We have celebrations all year and have correlated the majority of our stations history
It was a Captain Edward Wasey RN who was the inspecting Officer of the Coastguard in August 1858 that was instrumental in setting up the service.
Later on he was actually the coxswain and received several medals from the institution Copies of which I have obtained
However I cannot find anything about him on any of the census returns.
Ideally we would love to invite his descendants down to be our guests on 25th July to help us celebrate.
Unfortunately I do not know how to either further my research on Edward of find his descendent's so any help would be gratefully appreciated
Cheers

daveey,
Do you think this is the right person?
I have found some more info on the 1891 and 1901 censuses if it is.

I am a little unsure if this is the right person as between 1862 and 1880 we actually had a lifeboat called the EDWARD WASEY and this was a gift from a MISS WASEY of NEWBURY so it is possible that EDWARD was from around that area and not Wales
Cheers

There is only 30 odd miles between Newbury and Bray where Edward was living on the 1881.

Hi Daveny
If you go on the National Archives site and search officers here, you get three results, two for an Edward. You can buy the service record online and download it. I think it's £3.50. I think both Edwards may lead to the same record. You can try other Documents on Line searches too, but they mat start at too late a date for you. There is a sitesearch too.
It may be worth emailing them too.
Best wishes and good luck with the project.
