The transcript says Beechville but there is not 2 e's on the handwritten.
Thanks for your time.

Lyn

In the census there are 24 other houses shown  in Beechville Street and as each schedule is written individually,  and they would be together in the census, the transcriber is probably correct. There are twenty six houses in Beachville (as it is now) Street, also one of the houses in the 1911 census has 10 BEECHVILLE STREET CHESTER RD SUNDERLAND.

I had started going through the 1901 before I went out to see if I could find Beechville street.

Number 20 Beechville Street is not occupied being built in the 1901 Census.

Hi,
Thanks for your help, they were obviously a terrible family for moving, onwards and upwards I suppose.
When my Grandparents married in 1925 the family were in Eden Vale.
I will just have to keep searching for them in the other census.
Thanks again.

In the 1890 Directory Frederick William Mason is listed at 15 Thornton Place, and 3  Chester Road. Thornton Place appears to be all business premises, and he does not appear at 3 Chester Road in the 1901 1891 Census.

Hi,
Thanks Stan, I will just have to wait and see if I come across the family on the census. The 1911 has answered my question as to Williams place of birth, I have spent years working on the family I presumed he came from in Smethwick and that has finally been confirmed so not all bad news.
