edward white why cant I find him?
« on: Thursday 19 March 09 19:31 GMT (UK) »
I have tried to find him and some kind and patient people in the chatroom have tried too but nothing certain can be found of him before 1901 when he was 33 years old! So perhaps somebody who likes a puzzle can put me out of my misery. Here are the facts I have of him. He was born in St.Martin in the fields London in 1867/68. His fathers name was John White and on Edward's 1903 marriage cert he puts his father's occupation as Messenger at the House of Lords (deceased). In the 1901 census he was a pub manager at the Flower Pot, 120 Bethnal Green Rd.Bethnal Green. He is listed as single although  he was living with his future wife ,Maud, and they had a son also Edward who was a year old.The 1911 census finds him married to Maud and they have 3 more children. He is a publican and they are living at 177,Southwark Bridge Road London which was a pub called the Old Justice. Also on his marriage cert. in 1903 he states that he is a widower but in 1901 he says his single! Other than that all I know is when he was a boxer and in 1887 he was ABA heavy weight champion of England
and after won the Professional one too. It was also said that his family originally came from Scotland but Im not too sure of this. Well thats about all I have. Im just hoping someone can throw a bit of light on this as it is driving me crazy. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Heres hoping
