I have also been trying to get into cityark on line parish records for the past week with no luck. :'(
Living in Australia most of the time I am trying is off peak, but I still get nothing.
Does anyone know what is going on ???
Has it completely shut down at the moment. ???
Cheers Leonie

The Friends of Cityark have this message on their website

"You may be experiencing problems with the CityArk website. We are aware that there is a problem, which has been caused by CityArk reaching its storage capacity. We are awaiting a server upgrade and apologise for any inconvenience."

I emailed Cityark itself a week or so ago and they advised normal service would be resumed asap. I believe they have got another heritage lottery grant so I do not think the service is at risk- its probably taking time for the budget to come through to upgrade the server. It is nearly the end of the financial year in the Uk maybe they have to wait until April for new funding.

Like you - I rely on this wonderful service and miss it dreadfully.

Fingers crossed it will be back very soon

Sue

Thanks for this thread, thought it was just me being stupid & not using it properly!

Have never used Citiark before but have family to trace in Medway so am on the edge of my seat awaiting it's return.

Honestly Jovi75,  I think you will find it well worth the wait.  Its simple to use and so very interesting to see your ancestor's details straight from the book so to speak.  Great fun.
