My great Aunt was born in 1900, Castle Donnington, Leics. She married a Thomas Stone on the 17/1/1931 at Castle Donington. However, we do not know when he was born apart from the fact he ws born around 1897/1898. He died around 1932 and Sarah remarried in 1938. However, we know very little about Thomas and would dearly love to know more about him, like his date of birth and parents etc. I am also interested in Sarah's 2nd marriage and who it was to! A burial place for either would be great. I think Sarah died around 1981/2.

Yes Sarah Cliff was first married in 1931. All I know about Thomas is the name and death date, sort of. I know he was killed 4 months before his daughter was born in June 1932. I am only guessing about his age from info given to me. I had no idea of a middle name, but this helps. I'm guessing it was an accident that killed him. I know Sarah married again in 1938, but no idea to whom. I guess it was Castle Donnington, as she stayed there for a while before moving to Notts area.

Hi Thanks both of you. Sarah was born 19/5/1900. I know that much. It was more Thomas we were struggling with. If he died aged 34 in Dec 1931 he was probably born 1897ish. Its his birth that has us stumped. Mind you now we have a middle name it may be easier.

There are several Thomas H Stone born ca. 1897.

I reckon you need the Thomas/Sarah marriage certificate to hopefully, thanks to his father's details, identify yours on the 1901 and 1911 censuses.
