Hanley (Hamley?) birth
« on: Tuesday 17 March 09 10:40 GMT (UK) »
Could somebody please see if a birth/baptism is registered for my 3xGt Grandfather James SEFTON, born abt 1787 married to Lydia SHIRT abt 1808 and died 1858 Stockport aged (it says) 71 years.?

Have trawled through the records at local Mormom Archives but not turned up anything.  Am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks
Obadiah  ???

Hello, Charlotte,  Only place shown is on 1851 census, and it's either Hanley or Hamley. (Difficult to make out writing).

I'm going to Stoke on Trent Archives on Thursday so I will have a quick look to see if I can see anything.
