Could some kind person look up a probate file for me to what information is enclosed.

BROOK Elizabeth - Newmarket - Widow 1900 - 1900

agency series accession box / item record part alternative no.
BBAE  1569   Box119 3708

I am searching for an Elizabeth WILKINSON (or POPE) born app 1829 in the UK. She is listed on the Timandra which arrived in New Plymouth 1842. Daughter of Richard Whiting & Mary POPE. I believe she married a
BROOK(E)S....however there is no match on the NZ Marriages CD. I cannot find any record of her since.

Have you found what you were looking for, in regards to Elizabeth Pope?
I don't have any information on her but she has popped up a few times in my research.
Richard and Mary (who are my 4th gr.grandparents) didn't marry until 1832 so was she born before their marriage? Or is she a daughter of Mary's first marriage to William Curry Wilson, whom she married in 1828. Perhaps Richard adopted Elizabeth and raised her as his own.

My 3rd great-grandfather is Richard and Mary's son, George Whiting Pope, who we always thought was the first born of Richard and Mary's children. He married Elizabeth Catherine Climo.
