Returned mail: response error

I hope someone can help with this.  I have never come across this before.  I am trying to send some attachments (newpaper clippings and census image) to someone and my email is being returned with the above subject.  The body of the text says:

-----The following email has permanent fatal error-----
(email address stated here)

 ----- Transcript of session follows -----
<<< 554 5.7.1 Message cannot be accepted, rules rejection

Scroll down to the 554 5.7.1 area to see what might be causing the error message.

It seems your email is being treated as spam, either due to the subject line in your email or your email address is on a blacklist.

it could be that their e-mail filtering is set to reject anything with attachments. Try sending an e-mail without attachments and see  if that gets through.

on emails you have message ruling as mentioned.If you have another email address send that to your friend and see if she gets it.

Thanks for the input.  I was sent another email address and was able to send the attachments.
