Badge identification

Hi i've attached a photo sent to my nan from one of her ATS buddies,does anybody recognise the badge on her uniform as it might help me identify what my nan did in the ATS,cheers.

Possibly Royal Artillery.If you can work out theres 9 Flames coming from grenade and not 7 It will be Royal Engineers!! :)

I think it is an Australian Engineers collar badge.

I have never seen such a badge worn in that position so could it have belonged to her boyfriend/sweetheart

Thanks for replies,it gives me a bit more info to go on,the only other clue is this picture that says Llandudno 1942

I am not sure what they did at Llandudno but returning to the badge, it appears in this picture positioned just above the pocket cover in a different place so it does not look like an official badge for that person.

Dont know if it would be against dress Regs but could it be a sweetheart badge ? either RE/RA.
If you google "Royal Artillery flaming grenade badge" there are examples online. :)

The grenade badge worn on the left breast was to indicate that the ATS lady concerned was serving with a Royal Artillery unit (almost invariably an Ant-Aircraft Regiment.  This is born out by the cloth patch on her right arm in the second photo - a red witch on a blue rectangle - the formation sign of 2nd Anti-Aircraft Division (which was mostly located in The Midlands and North of England).   This sign ceased to be worn in 1943.
