OK, so he was 28y in 1881 so b 1852 (-ish)
Who & what is the father on the 1880 marriage certificate?
What names witnessed?

Was he in Uk for 1881 census? Where?

It was our families belief that James was the son of James Walker and Drusilla Bodenham of Shenstone but the more I look into this I am unable to match James into the family.
There was a James that was born 1844 to James and Drusilla but he died that year .
