I'm hoping we can help each other out to further this quest? I am a Myron as well. I have tracked family records back with both the last names Myron and Whalen. Both I know to be true from talks with discussions with older family members when they were alive. Obvious reasons on the Myron side. The Whalen side seems to have transferred from marriage names past down or taken over from generations of past given to children to have something attached to them of their maternal name so it isnt lost. However I stumbled across a family member and found it interesting, the last of Marin during a census record search.
