Cant find out when he died? :-(

Hello everyone! Im trying to find out when my GGgrandfather died. His name was Morgan Charles born in 1871, Measteg or Merthyr Tydfil and moved to Port Talbot after he got married in 1900. Ive looked on FreeBMD but to no avail :( and Im not a member of any site like ancestry so if anyone who is a member could have a quick look for me or tell me a site where I could look myself I'd be very greatful  :)

Try the web site FreeBMD it is what it says free.

An excellent site and most useful.

Thanks for the advice CSH but as I stated in the first part of this link, Ive tried looking on FreeBMD but he doesnt seem to show up.  :)

Duke - you could try the areas covered by a local BMD site - lists are via
http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/

Otherwise as you've not had any luck from a search on FreeBMD and this is by no means fully indexed past 1910, the other way is to check each quarter manually. There are images of the indices on FreeBMD (choose images on the home page instead of search) upto 1930s. They are also available on some subscription websites or on fiche or film at Records Offices, which carry on further than FreeBMD.
