Hello Neve, an aunt is rearching Bearman's at Bocking, but all we have so far is Samuel (married to Sarah ---, date unknown) and five children (John 1801, Mary 1803, Sarah 1806 who married John Wade 1829 in Braintree), William 1809 and Hannah 1811).  Do any of these 'connect' with yours?  Look forward to hearing from you.  Jag.

Chum,

Mary Ann is a very common name - do you know if she were born in Halstead, that's where all my Cooper's came from.

Hi Jag,

yes there is a connection.  These are my husband's ancestors.  Samuel Bearman married Sarah Clark 27 Aug 1799 at Bocking as CP said. There was a son James as well born 1814. Samuel was a tanner. William Bearman and Catherine Wade are our direct ancestors.  Samuel was born 1776 in Bocking, the youngest son (I think) of Jeremiah Bearman and Mary Yeldham.  Their eldest son Jeremiah also married a Mary and there may be some overlap of baptisms. How much info do you want?

I should be pleased to receive anything you can let me have to get us further with this family.

I spoke to my aunt yesterday who said the reason she hadn't done any more research on this family (from memory, as she moved last year & all research is in loft!) was because she had found two Samuel Bearman's marrying a Sarah about the same time. (She may be remembering incorrectly?).

If we have the right couple, hello cousin.  We are descended from Sarah Bearman and John Wade.  I see that William also married a Wade - was she a relation to my John?

Hi Neve

I have Isabel Stammers from Essex married to Thomas Thorpe in 1875.
I'd be interested to know if you have any leads on Isabels family as I am at a complete dead end.

Many thanks
Marina
